Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 1, 2026 · Last Updated: April 1, 2026
Overview
Sessix is a mobile command center for AI-assisted coding. It allows you to monitor, authorize, and direct AI coding sessions running on your Mac from your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.
Sessix is designed with a local-first architecture. Your data stays on your devices and your local network. This Privacy Policy explains what data Sessix handles, how it is processed, and what choices you have.
1. How Sessix Works
Understanding how Sessix works is essential to understanding our privacy practices:
- ● The Sessix server runs on your Mac. It interfaces with AI coding tools (such as Claude Code) that you independently install and configure on your Mac.
- ● The Sessix mobile app connects to your Sessix server over your local Wi-Fi network (LAN) using WebSocket protocol.
- ● Messages you send from the mobile app travel directly to your Mac over the local network. They do not pass through any Sessix-operated server or cloud service.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Sessix does not:
- ✓Collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any Sessix-operated server
- ✓Send your code, messages, or project data to any third-party service
- ✓Use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
- ✓Collect device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV) for tracking purposes
- ✓Share any data with advertisers or data brokers
3. Data That Stays on Your Devices
The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to Sessix or any third party:
App Preferences
Language, theme, notification sound preferences, and privacy policy consent status. Stored in on-device storage (AsyncStorage).
Server Connection Info
IP addresses and authentication tokens of your Mac servers. Stored locally for reconnection purposes.
Session History
AI coding session messages and tool approval history received from your Mac, cached in device memory during app use.
4. Data Transmitted Over Your Local Network
When connected to your Mac, the following data is exchanged over your local Wi-Fi network:
- ●Messages you type in the app, sent to your Mac for AI processing
- ●AI responses and tool calls streamed from your Mac to your device
- ●Tool approval decisions (approve/deny) sent from your device to your Mac
- ●mDNS discovery broadcasts to find Sessix servers on your local network
This communication occurs directly between your devices over your local network. It does not traverse the internet or any Sessix-operated infrastructure.
5. Push Notifications (Apple Push Notification Service)
If you enable push notifications, Sessix uses Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) via the Expo Push Service to deliver notifications when:
- ●An AI tool requires your approval
- ●An AI coding session completes or encounters an error
To enable this, your device's Expo Push Token (a unique notification identifier generated by Apple) is sent to your Mac server, which then uses the Expo Push API to deliver notifications. The push notification payload contains only a brief summary (e.g., "Approval needed: Edit file.ts") — it does not include your full code or conversation content.
You can disable push notifications at any time in iOS Settings or within the Sessix app.
6. Third-Party AI Services on Your Mac
Your Mac may run third-party AI coding tools (such as Claude Code by Anthropic) that you install, configure, and authorize independently. These tools have their own data practices and privacy policies.
Sessix does not control, operate, or have any affiliation with these third-party services. When you send a message through Sessix, it is delivered to your Mac, where the AI tool you have installed may process it according to its own terms. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any AI service you use on your Mac.
7. Data Collection by Apple
As an iOS app distributed through the App Store, standard Apple platform services may apply:
- ●App Store: Apple may collect purchase and download data per their own privacy policy
- ●Crash Reports: If you opt in to share diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us
These are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
8. Children's Privacy
Sessix is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
9. Your Rights
Since Sessix does not collect or store your personal data on any server, traditional data access, correction, and deletion requests do not apply. All your data is under your direct control on your own devices.
You can:
- ✓Delete the app at any time to remove all locally stored data
- ✓Disable push notifications in iOS Settings
- ✓Disconnect from any server at any time within the app
- ✓Revoke local network access permission in iOS Settings
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app (via an updated privacy consent prompt) before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
11. Contact Us
